       “It's...” You gazed at the small item, smiling sweetly as you thought of the owner. “A small sample of real maple syrup.” You glanced around, looking for the country who just loves syrup covered pancakes, so much so it could cause a problem. You chuckled as you found him, cuddling up to his friend Kumajiro with a blush. “Mattie, I believe I got your item.”

       His blond head slowly rose up as he nodded towards you. He knew, but he was just too nervous to move. Why did you have to pick his item? He didn't really want to be in the closet with you, alone, in the dark. Anything could happen.

       Standing up, you walked over and extended a hand to the taller male. “Come on. Let's get this over with.” You knew that the Canadian was shy, especially around you when the two of you are alone. You hoped that he didn't dislike you because you had liked him for a long while. Ever since Alfred introduced him to you, actually.

       “O-okay.” Canada slowly stood up and rested Kuma on the seat he was in. The polar bear stared up with his beady black eyes, tired, and yawned as he snuggled into the warmth left from Canada. The blond chuckled as he moved away from his seat, face staring at the floor, and walked past you into the closet.

       You smiled sweetly, sighing. “Hope this won't be awkward.” You mumbled to yourself. Petting Kuma's head, you also made your way to the closet.

       “'Bout time.” Alfred commented. “Remember, only seven minutes. And you better do something other than just sit around in the quiet.” He eyed his brother as Canada blushed immensely. They must have shared something telepathically, you thought. “Right.” He nodded and shut the door.

       Sighing heavily, you leaned against the wall and slowly slipped down to sit. Canada followed suit, only on the other side. He fiddled with the end of his hair as he stared into the dark closet. You hummed to yourself, signing a song with lyrics in your head. Matt instantly heard the tune and smiled shyly as he hummed with you.

       Smiling, you figured that was at least a start. You loved the song My Heart Will Go On because Celine Dion was from Canada, or so the song Canadian Please said. You started humming the latter song only to have Matt laugh.

       “I actually like that song.” He said. Thinking to himself as he heard you continue humming, he tried to think of a few songs he could hum as well. This was going to be an interesting seven minutes. Playing a humming game.

       When Matt started humming a different song by Celine Dion, you commented. “I also like the song.” Smiling, you chuckled. “Especially since it's true about the certain countries they speak about. Though...it could be wrong nowadays.”

       Matt chuckled while humming, trying to finish the song, waiting for you to hum another one so he could speak. You found a Three Days Grace song in your head and started humming it. Matt smiled wide. “I know what you mean. And I love that song!” He jumped a bit in his spot, making you snicker slightly.

       This was really cute, you thought. If you couldn't take, at least you could hum. You swayed slightly to the song you hummed.

       “Over and over~ Over and Over, I fall for you~.” Matt sang along with your hum. You blushed slightly, so did he. “Over and over~ Over and over, I try not to~.” He sang quietly then, embarrassed that he sung it aloud.

       You smiled. “Over and over~ Over and Over, You make me fall for you~.” Matt's eyes widened as he stared at you. “Over and over~ Over and Over, you don't even try to~.” You repositioned yourself closer to him slowly. His cheeks flared up at the action, but he didn't back away. Smiling softly, you leaned your lips closer to his...

       “Okay, times up dudes!” Just as you were a centimeter from Canada's lips, America opened the door and you backed away from his brother. You cursed yourself for the instant reflex. Al just stared at you two. “Oh come on, you didn't do anything?” He looked at his brother and grinned. “Well, you must have been doing something. Mattie's face is really red.”

       “Shut up Al!” Matt stood up quickly and rushed out of the closet over to Kumajiro. He scooped him up and headed towards the stairs. Stopping before the first step, he peered over at you from his shoulder. “W-would you like to continue our game upstairs in my room?”

       Shocked at his boldness, you smirked. His blush came back full force. “I would love to.” With that, you ditched Alfred and his game to play your own game with the adorably shy Canada. Was he really that shy though? Guess you'll find out soon.
